Standby Point is the UK Discord community for ambulance clinicians, students, volunteers and educators: somewhere to ask the daft question, share what helped and spend time with people who understand the job.
A standby point is the layby where a crew waits between jobs. That is about the size of it.
Standby Point started as the SnapMedic Discord. It keeps the same people, history and permanent invite, but the wider ambulance community is now the main room and the app has its own optional area.
Student-first does not mean student-only. Different stages of the job are useful to one another.
Standby Point is powered by SnapMedic. You do not need the app to take part, and its Discord area and release notifications are optional. The wider community remains the main room.
Ask the thing you nearly kept to yourself.
Join the standby crew. Choose what describes you, then say hello in The Mess Room.
